I came up with the idea for Mexican food with Turkey meat . Instead of Rice and Beans inside, I put almonds and dried cranberries. I highly recommend if you want to go for a Mexican approach you could serve it with rice and beans. But if you want a more thanksgiving approach, I’d serve these tacos with a nice green salad and sweet potato fries.
Almonds (Slivers work just as well)
- In a skillet turn up to Medium-high heat. Place 1 splash of Orange Juice, 1 table spoon of pepper and 2 tablespoons of garlic powder. Add some almonds and dried cranberries
- After the meat is finished, wrap in a tortilla with almonds and dried cranberries and add lettuce, pico de gallo etc if you wish
- Optional: If you have an electric stove, turn the burner up to Max. Before loading your taco, place the tortilla directly on the burner for 5 seconds
The orange juice causes the meat to cook faster and taste tender. You won’t be disappointed.
